DAY TRIP ROUTES – wESTERN MILLS
Take the roads less traveled through our beautiful Ozarks to explore historic mills, crystal-clear springs, scenic byways, and miles of trails. No matter what the season, you are sure to be amazed at the natural splendor around you.
32 miles to Dawt Mill: Take Highway 160 west toward Caulfield. Stay on 160 and travel approximately 11 miles past Caulfield then turn right on PP Highway. In about one mile, turn left on County Road 318 to Dawt Mill.
15.3 miles to Hodgson Mill: Leave Dawt Mill and go back to PP Highway. Turn left and go 4.3 miles then turn left on H Highway. Go 6 miles then turn left on Highway 181. Hodgson Mill will be on your left in 4 miles.
17.2 miles to Rockbridge: Continue on Highway 181 and go 7.2 miles then turn right on NN Highway. Go 8 miles and cross over Highway 95. The entrance to Rockbridge is 2 miles ahead on the left.
28.2 miles to Blue Spring: Leave Rockbridge and turn right on NN Highway. Cross Highway 95 and continue on NN Highway to Highway 181. Turn left on Highway 181. At junction of Highway 181 and H Highway, turn left. In 2.8 miles, turn right on CC Highway. In 4.2 miles, the entrance to the North Fork Recreation Area is on your right. The Blue Spring trail will be about a half mile from the entrance. There is a parking area at the trailhead.
18 miles to West Plains: Turn right on CC Highway from North Fork Recreation Area. Highway 63 in 17.5 miles ahead.
