DAY TRIP ROUTES – MILLS,
SPRINGS & FALLS, OH MY
Take the roads less traveled through our beautiful Ozarks to explore historic mills, crystal-clear springs, scenic byways, and miles of trails. No matter what the season, you are sure to be amazed at the natural splendor around you.
50 miles to Alley Spring: Take Highway 63 north toward Willow Springs. Just before Willow Springs, take Highway 60 east toward Mountain View. Stay on Highway 60 for 15 miles then turn left on Highway 17 north. In 13.5 miles, turn right onto Highway 106. In approximately 14 miles, the entrance to Alley Spring and Mill will be on your left.
16.2 miles to Blue Spring: Leave Alley Spring and go left on Highway 106. From Eminence, travel 8 miles, turn right on County Road 535 (there will be a sign for Blue Spring). In 2.5 miles, you will reach a parking area at the trailhead.
19 miles to Klepzig Mill: Backtrack on County Road 535 to Highway 106 and turn left. In 7.6 miles, turn left on H Highway. In 4 miles, turn left on NN Highway. In 4 miles, pavement ends, veer left on County Road 522. The mill is less than a mile on the right. (Not recommended for motorhomes or trailers.)
3 miles to Rocky Falls: Go back to NN Highway and go 2 miles. Turn left on County Road 526. Turn left into parking lot.
61 miles to West Plains: Go back to NN Highway and turn left. In 8.5 miles, turn left onto Highway 19. At Highway 60, turn right. Stay on Highway 60 for 36 miles then take the left ramp onto South Highway 63 to West Plains.
