DAY TRIP ROUTES – GEMS OF THE FOREST
Take the roads less traveled through our beautiful Ozarks to explore historic mills, crystal-clear springs, scenic byways, and miles of trails. No matter what the season, you are sure to be amazed at the natural splendor around you.
13 miles to Blue Hole: Take Highway 63 north. In 2 miles, turn left on Highway 14 and go 9.5 miles then turn right on AP Highway. The entrance to Blue Hole will be on the left in less than 2 miles.
6.5 miles to Noblett Lake: Continue on AP Highway. In 6.5 miles, the entrance to Noblett Lake will be on your left.
13.8 miles to Topaz: Continue on AP Highway and travel 3.1 miles to Highway 181. Turn right and go 1.4 miles then turn left onto Highway 76/181. Go 4 miles then turn left on E Highway. Go 4 miles and continue straight on County Road E-276. Go 1.3 miles and Topaz Mill will be on the left.
21.9 miles to Twin Bridges: Go back to Highway 76 and turn right. In 4 miles, turn right on Highway 181. In 12.6 miles, you will arrive at Twin Bridges.
3 miles to Big Spring: Turn left on Highway 14. In 2 miles, turn left on County Road 292. Big Spring will be 1 mile on the left.
16.5 miles to West Plains: Go back to Highway 14 and turn left. In 13.5 miles, turn right on Highway 63.
