From organizers: The 68th annual Convention and Awards Show of the International Country Gospel Music Association will be held July 11th, 12th, and 13th, at The Bridge Church, West Plains.  For three days and nights, Country Gospel Music artists will be performing their special brand of music to capacity crowds in what has become one of the favorite events of the year in the Ozarks.  This will be the 17th year this event has been held in West Plains.  The music includes Country Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, and Southern Gospel.  The featured artists come from all across America, as well as several foreign countries.

The three-day celebration begins Thursday, July 11th at 10:00 am and continues through Saturday evening.  Daily showcases run from 10:00  am to 4:30 pm, with a lunch break. The evening concerts are scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.

This year’s list of performers includes some legends, some favorites, and some newcomers to the I.C.G.M.A. Special guests this year are International favorites ”The Girls Next Door”, plus country legends Barbara Fairchild and Roy Morris, Jonathan Bond, Bruce Haynes, and Mary Fay Jackson . The list continues with The Waymasters, Ava Kasich, Jim Sheldon, The Tiptons, Chosen 4:13, Bill Baker, Crystle Elam, John Penney, Rachel Taylor, Zac Clifton, comedian Barry McGee, (aka Harvey Tater), Mike Leichner, Bev McCann, Dan Duncan, Melanie Walker, Gene Reasoner, Melissa Evans, David Timms, Victoria Steelman, Jeff Burns, J. Abbott, and many more!  In all, over 100 artists are expected to perform over the three days.

The highlight of the week is the Gold Cross Awards Show, held on Saturday evening.  I.C.G.M.A. honors excellence in music by presenting awards in 26 categories, plus the induction of artists into their prestigious Hall of Fame.

According to I.C.G.M.A. President Dan Duncan, the talent is terrific, and the entire event is absolutely free of charge to the public. Those who attend will have opportunities to meet and visit with the artists at their individual booths.
